Counties Must Settle Damages From Dogs Under 1917 Law

A mistaken belief spreads that the Pennsylvania Department of Agriculture now fully enforces the Dog Law. The 1921 act takes effect January 1, 1922, but the 1917 law remains in force for claims this year. County commissioners must settle all livestock and poultry damage claims within their counties for the current year. The 1921 act shifts state payment responsibilities to the next year.
