A fragmentary retelling describes a little old lady sharing soup with villagers, a pirate, and a pepper pot that foils the thief. The scene shifts to a stage review praising a play titled What Happened to Jones, noting its humor, cast led by John Degan, and a Library Hall performance as a final chance to see the American comedy.
