A string of social visits and homecomings occupies a Scottdale area week, with Mr. and Mrs. John Gress returning from relatives in Vandergrift and a McQuown Jamison reunion near Home station. Dozens of families from Sugar Run to Parkwood share Sunday and Wednesday visits, hospital returns, and neighborly calls across Apollo, Indiana, and South Bend connections.
The Butler Co-operative Egg Auction, run Tuesdays and Fridays at the Spang Building in Butler, draws higher prices with fancy large eggs at 31 cents a dozen by the case, standard large at 29 cents and pullet eggs at 23 4 cents. Membership costs 5 dollars, giving access to all auctions, with many Indiana county poultrymen planning to haul eggs weekly. Auction manager is Mark Weser.
James W Mack auditor appointed by the Orphany Court of Indiana County will settle and report distribution of funds held by The Farmers Bank and Trust Co as administrator of Manus Carlton deceased. He will attend at Farmers Bank building Indiana Pa on Tuesday October 10 1938 at 10:00 AM for interested parties to appear if they see proper. Notice dated Sept 1993.
