Fifteenth Indiana County Sabbath School Convention
The fifteenth annual Indiana County Sabbath School convention will convene at the Presbyterian church on Thursday and Friday September 19 and 20. State Secretary W G Landes and Mrs Maude J Baldwin of Philadelphia are among the prominent speakers. Delegates will register at the church and present credentials for entertainment duties. Indiana boy killed by fall of logs in Wyoming hills
Melvin Herschel Duncan, 23, son of Edward G. Duncan, drowned in tragedy near Woody Wyoming while hauling logs. A wagon overturned on a steep grade and falling logs crushed his lower body. he died soon after. He was in the west four years, worked for a lumber company, and is survived by his father and sister Eva Pearl Duncan. Funeral rites were held at Greenwood Cemetery with burial Monday after a brief service led by Rev. Warnick.

Reunions Of A Week At Ferrier Home Arcadia Montgomery
The fifth annual Ferrier reunion gathered 12 families and friends at James Ferrier’s Arcadia home in Montgomery township last week to renew ties. Ford Ferrier presided. Mrs John Washington gave the welcome. others spoke including Hey Lambert Norman and Beulah Ferrier Bartlebaugh aged 84. A vocal selection and choir entertained. next year’s reunion set for the same venue. Distants attendees included Wilson Sheasley and wife Pittsburgh George Sheasley and wife Vandergrift Calvin Stahl Cresson and Mrs Hannah Stuhl Gareway. A Titteringtons and siddles reunion occurred at the fair grounds Wednesday with noted attendance. Hubert Connor Montgomery was among those at the woldfore reunion. his health has improved. The fifty sixth annual exhibition of the Indiana County Agricultural Society closed Friday with larger attendance despite wet weather. Races, displays, aero plane flights and concerts attracted crowds. grandstand tickets set a record while some events were cut or delayed by rain. Premiums will be paid in full. Friday’s races yielded mixed results with the Pace and Free-for-All omitted for time.

The twenty sixth annual convention of the County Commissioners of Pennsylvania opened in the Court House with no officers elected as those chosen at last year's meeting were defeated. E M Ansley of Indiana was named temporary chairman, with speeches and debates on the Board of Viewers Act of 1911 and resolutions for repeal. The opening session drew 100 officials from twenty counties, and the program outlined sessions on reform in expenses, tax laws, juvenile and criminal issues, and other topics. A child in Homer City shot himself with a father’s revolver, the weapon left unattended on a table.
