Mr. and Mrs. T. G. Work and son Trobert left Wednesday for Albuquerque, N. M., to spend the winter. Mrs. P. A. Weiss visited Punxsutawney. Mrs. David Gibson and Mr. and Mrs. L. R. Elder visited Marion Center. Murray Barclay, employed at Ernest, visited Miss Grace Hurd. John Warner moved from T. Co. Work property to John Galentine’s. William N. Richardson, Hamilton mines worker, broke both bones of his left arm. James Miller of Hast Brady visited family over the weekend.
Smyrna residents hosted and visited across the week with calls from Dora Steele Annie Hall Kunts and many others. Local families including Lemmon Steele and Hazlett shared Sabbath visits while Marion Center and Trade City were mentioned for calls and a farewell party for Boyd Steele last Tuesday. The town also notes no influenza yet in Smyrna.
Annie Nichol of Indiana visited her sister Mrs Merle Miss Koen vis Mr and Mrs Harry Van Horn hosted guests on Sabbath including Mrs Lom Means and daughter Mary and the Misses Orpha Streams and Annie Hazlett. Mrs Sutlinglet near Smyrna and Mrs Bella Van Horn called on John Lockhart and family on Saturday. Mr and Mrs Karl McCormick of Luzerne visited Bert Kinter’s family last week. Edgar Lockhart of Mast Run visited his parents Sunday. Mr and Mrs Robert Johnston and song Lester and Waller spent Sabbath with his mother Mrs Mary Johnston.
