Long Prison Term for Local Slaying Set in Lucerne Case
In a county court Monday Raphael Antidormi received a 20 year sentence for the murder in the second degree of Mrs Consuelo Bisconti at Lucerne last January. He was taken to Western Penitentiary that same day. Civil court remains active with many cases, including a renewed trial for Ford Parry versus Cambria and Indiana Railroad Company. The jury viewed the disputed right of way on Parry’s farm as the case resumes after a prior verdict for Parry was overturned on appeal. A related matter, Co B Rhea versus B R & P Ry, settled mid trial with the company purchasing 100 feet of farm land for 8250, without fencing liability, and covering witness costs. Other damagessuits against Vinton Colliery and Lackawanna Coal & Coke Co. were continued until November, due to mine refuse and wash waste filling a local dam. A jury previously disagreed in the Kautz versus Edwards horse deal warranty suit.
