Local Residents Attend Visits and Obituaries Noted
Robinson Mrs Arthur Bowser and her young son Donald visited family in Juniata last week. Misses Sadie and Marie Daugherty of New Florence visited Mrs. Wm Fisher. Mr and Mrs Millard Akey and Delbert Akers of Shelocta called on the Wilbert Mack home. Edna Huston left for a vacation in Washington DC. Wm H Fisher was in Johnstown on business. John Penrose served on a jury in Indiana. Mr and Mrs George Lanner announce the birth of a son. Henry Jones was ill at home. Several locals visited the Mack home Sunday including the Wadsworths and Durlins from Johns town. Mrs Allie Boyle visiting Cokeville Wa. Pinkerton died at his daughter’s Latrobe home and was buried at West View Bolivar. Mrs Harry Reynolds of Wilkinsburg, former resident, died and was buried there. Local attendees at Reynolds funeral included Mrs Samuel Fisher, Edward Reynolds, Mrs Jane Lewis, Mrs Wilbert Mack, Mr and Mrs E B Croll and Frank Croll.

Valley residents share visits and farm sales amid wrecks
Wednesday callers from Brushvalley and Philadelphia visited Knox Long and other locals. Chester Wilson sold the Joseph Heasley farm atop the valley hill to Fred Wilson with possession due December 1. He also sold the Ira J. Ray farm near Shady Plain to Mr. Graham. Two wrecks at Shady Plain last Sabbath left drivers injured and several cars damaged, including Lawrence Kepple’s wrecked coupe.

Ladies' Aid social follows officer elections
Members of the Ladies' Aid Society entertained husbands at a Thursday evening meeting hosted by president Mrs. George Hicks. After officer elections and business, a pleasant social session followed with lunch served by Mrs. Hicks. Several locals and visitors were noted in weekend travels and visits. A Saturday night collision near Marion Center damaged Maurice Homan’s car and another wreck occurred nearby involving Bruce Kohlpp.
