Storm Rages on Great Lakes Wrecks and Damages Widespread
A Chicago despatch reports the season’s worst storm causing widespread property damage across Ohio Indiana and Kentucky with few fatalities. Vessels were scarce but a steamer and coal fleets were wrecked near Glencoe Louisville Jeffersonville and Port Fulton while bridges tracks and telegraph lines suffered from downed wires and high water.
