Hermit Aunt Betsy Elliott Lived Ninety Years in Missouri

In six miles west of Jacksonville Missouri Aunt Betsy Elliott died at ninety after a life on the same northern Missouri homestead with her brothers Perry and Jordan Elliott. They never rode trains or visited towns larger than Moberly, kept rail fences and coal beneath their land, shunned doctors, schooling, and luxuries, and followed simple rules: have something to interest you and go to sleep easily, learn to go, don't borrow trouble, get out in the air, raise poultry, and live as their pioneer family did.
