How to Keep Your Baby Well Bath Time Guide

Cleanliness is vital for a child’s health and a quick tub bath is best. Use mild soap sparingly, prepare items in advance, and test water with the elbow or a thermometer set around 100 degrees then cooling. Support the baby, wet the back and head, and apply soap with cheesecloth. Avoid soap in the water for eczema and don’t bathe within an hour after feeding. A changing bath table at about 30 inches helps reduce strain. a kitchen table can work with a padded top. Sponging is okay on warm days, and daily baths may be omitted for premature or delicate babies.
