How Does a Tree Grow Debate In Indiana Progress
The Indiana Progress reports on a Department of Agriculture clarification about tree growth. A 70 year old man found a sickle imbedded in a top limb, claimed it moved 40 feet, but officials say a branch never rises from ground beyond its original point and remains part of the tree. O O Nupp of Green township, son of Cyrus Nupp, visited Indiana and explained his grandfather had stuck the tool 70 years ago. He states the sickle was carried about 40 feet by tree growth.
