While plowing in the Hussey building on Fifth Avenue Rochester, Pa., J W Hart had a steel chip lodge in the cornea near the pupil. His employers Halpin Kennedy & Co sent him to Dr Sadler at 864 Penn Ave where under cocaine the eye was opened and the steel removed, restoring sight in a week and work resumed.
