Archeologists report a nine to ten year old girl buried over a thousand years ago in Monte Alban Mexico. Beside her lay a dust covered toy dog a red tiger with a ruffled collar and a toy musket with a whistle. The find is the oldest tomb of its type at Monte Alban sparking wonder about a possible Little Boy Blue and his toy soldier.
Three presidents died in poverty or near poverty with Jefferson and Madison land poor. Congress bought Jefferson’s library for 25000 to found the Congressional Library and acquired the Madison papers. It provided for Mrs Garfield and her family and aided Mrs Madison, easing their financial distress.

Vibrations reveal captures, and silence is required to keep threads from vibrating and lights from going out. Worms reproduce in a month long cycle, ending in a cocoon to begin again.

The Miderton high school junior class held a wether roast at Geraldine Sell's Currys Run home. Mr and Mrs W C Bleakney and son Earl were in Freeport on Tuesday. Mune Keeler stayed with Geraldine Sell last week. Murray and Rhoda Ramer visited Ralph Ramer's home Thursday. Mrs T Q Kimmel is unwell. The Miller family gathered Friday for Mrs Miller's birthday. Two local residents, James Dun mire and Mrs wm Bierer, died recently. Dr Grant Fleming of Bradford and Wm Fleming of Pittsburgh visited their mother Nellie Fleming over the weekend. Jean McIntyre spent Thursday with Florence Ramer. J F Kimmel and wife shopped in Indiana Monday.
Sunday school next Sunday morning at 10 o clock with young peoples meeting in the evening at Crooked Creek church. Numerous local families from Indiana Vandergrift Blairsville and surrounding areas visited relatives and called on friends including Dr Mahan of Pittsburgh and Carl Miller family, with updates on illness and travels.
Clarksburg notes a Sunday 10:00 Sabbath school and 11:15 church service. Visitors include Indiana shoppers Mrs Mae Cribbs and Miss Mabel Cribbs, Blairsville resident Dorothy Gill, and various local families. Other guests were Mr and Mrs Welk, and Mrs Merch Fulton plans a stay in Pittsburgh.
