Tuberculosis Runs in Families Not Inherited
The article explains that tuberculosis appears to run in families because children often catch the disease from an older household member. It notes the germ causes TB and that a healthy body can resist a small exposure, but daily exposure increases risk.

It urges that every family member be examined, notes children can carry germs, and stresses that safety comes from collective action of many families joining to guard against infection.
