March Session Brings Convictions in Local Court
A busy March court session saw multiple convictions for offenses including illegal liquor selling, fornication and bastardy, and larceny. Indiana Motor Company Buys Livery Site for New Garage
The Indiana Motor Company purchased the Thomas Brothers livery site at eighth street rear of the Moore Hotel for 6500 dollars and will build a modern 50 by 140 foot garage with two pits a machine shop supply room and office. The project, starting mid next month, includes two underground gasoline tanks compressed air and other modern auto care equipment. The existing frame building will be razed and Thomas Brothers will continue the livery in a Wharf leased from J M Cunningham. The new facility aims to house 60 machines and cost about 3000 dollars. The Indiana Motor Company formed about three years ago by Howard and David Houlk Stephen Kiss Frank Kring and Leslie Pattison.

Will Improve Storeroom Modern Front and Other Changes
Sloan Bros. will immediately overhaul their storeroom. The front will be removed, floor lowered to street level, and ceiling raised. A modern glass display fronts eleven feet deep with a new tile entrance will replace the old. The interior will be repainted and repapered as the store expands to meet growing trade.

Oldest Pennsylvania Woman Celebrates 106th Birthday
Saltsburg resident Mrs. Rachel Forshua Wiley, believed to be the state's oldest woman, observed her 106th birthday at her daughter’s home in Saltsburg. Born in 1806 in Juniata county, she moved to Latrobe as a child, married Hugh Wiley after her father disappeared, and later lived in Saltsburg. Also reported, Isabella Malcolm, six, suffered scalding injuries after a tea kettle toppled, expected not to cause serious harm.
