Evangelical Sabbath program announced at Brush Valley

The Evangelical Sabbath school will hold a special program on March 16 at 9 30 o clock with all welcome. Numerous local residents and visitors are listed visiting relatives and attending events in Homer City Indiana and Punxsutawney area including Overdorff Stewart McCrea and Shields families.

Community notices and visits in Blairsville area

Local residents report a weekend of visits and illnesses. Louise Foster returned from Verona. relatives from Bolivar, Johnstown, Avonmore and Punxsutawney visited Suttons and Lears. Revivals begin in North Blairsville with McVicker and Decker assisting. Charles Sutton celebrated his 80th birthday amid recovery. Several health updates, employment moves, and a slate-mining accident are noted along with a large social sale at Ackerson’s.

Mrs. Ralph Mack of Blairsville visited her parents Mr. and Mrs. Mack Hood. Mr. and Mrs. Kenneth Dick called at 8 F Clark’s. Mrs. Ernest Mack returned home from Johnstown hospital. BE H Dick and Kenneth Dick with two children visited Indiana last week. Some families report chicken thieves in the area. Samuel Wallace and wife welcomed a baby girl. Gavie Clark visited friends in Indiana. Miss Lucy Neil spent Sunday with Minnie Clark. Mrs. Molly Mabon had shingles replaced on her house. Junior high New Florence play was well attended. Mrs. Elmer Dick spent weekend with sister Mrs. Cunningham in Armagh.
