Local residents named, visits to Freeport and Van dergrift noted. Funeral services for James George near Idaho were held at the Lutheran church with burial in South Bend cemetery.

Mrs Merrit Goldberg underwent an operation in Memorial Hospital Johnstown and is doing well. Milton Rodkey of Verona visits the Bennetts in Verna. Mary and Charles Detwiler who lived in Akron, Ohio last year have returned home. The Ladies Aid met at Mrs Elizabeth Troxell's. Mrs Lawrence Rankin visits relatives in Nanty Glo. Miss Billie Walker and her Texas Longhorns band from Greensburg drew a full house at Charlie's Grove square dance and will return March 30.
