Not Guilty in Arson Case Ends Busy June Term
The Conemaugh township arson trial of J. A. Thomas ended with a not guilty verdict and costs to be paid by the prosecutor if the court won’t strike the costs. Several riot cases from Ernest Strike were continued to September. Deputy Sheriff Carney Cogley was acquitted of assault and battery charges. Court adjourned for August vacation with many cases postponed or continued.

Accidents at local mill and railroad score injuries
Fins Russell of Hillsdale lost part of his left foot in a Thursday accident at the Buterbaugh and Krider sawmill near Clymer when he contacted the saw. Dr Noy Prothero of Clymer treated the injured man. Sagamore fell under a train on the Butalo and Susquehanna railroad at Juneau last week, losing both legs. he was taken to Dubois and is expected to recover.

Miner Killed by Electric Shock Near Cummins Bridge
Andy Sameauski, 44, employed in a coal shaft near Cummins bridge northwest of town, was fatally electrocuted Saturday while touching live wires at the shaft bottom. The single man’s body was buried in the Catholic cemetery Monday. Also noted is a Mt Pleasant hotel Sabbath school picnic set for next Wednesday, July 4, in the church grove, and Miss Ilanele St Clair, daughter of Dr John M St Clair, appointed lead teacher of Greensburg schools.

The Buttuto and Susquehanna Coal Company signed the miners' wage scale on Monday and the Baganora coal mines near Planville resumed operations the same day. Man killed by accidental shooting while examining revolver
Paulo Viglenti of Slastond was fatally shot on June 19 while handling a 32 caliber revolver intended as a precaution for a trip.
