Centenary reflections on Indiana County progress

A retrospective on Indiana County’s centennial birth celebration highlights the enduring spirit of Scotch Irish settlers, growth in farming and lumber, rise of coal industries, and the push toward becoming a regional fuel center. It notes education, religion, and commerce shaping the county while urging ongoing hustle to attract investment and broaden markets. It cites the centennial parade, student entertainment, and a naval moral victory over Bremerton saloons, ending with a brief playful note on a talcum box raid.
