Two Murder Trials and Borough Annexation in Court
The June term opens with two murder cases, Stefano Amello and Bernard Capparatti, set for trial. A verdict of guilty on larceny was returned for Mary Dankovich, and Dominick Poletto pleaded guilty to assault and battery. The Grand Jury examined 25 indictments, praising county facilities but urging repairs at the County Home. Mechanicsburg seeks to join Brushvalley township due to rising costs, marking the end of its borough status since 1857.
