An Important Easter For the Rev John Redfield
John Redfield, a seminary graduate, agrees to preach an Easter sermon for the Edmonson Manufacturing company with a $50 fee. He meets Miss Chalfinch at the station, is led to her aunt’s house, and preaches to workers. She proposes he accept a pastorate funded by the company, and he ends up marrying her, uniting the church’s leadership with the factory’s ownership.
