County Committee Appoints Trio for Delegates to Constitution Convention
The County Committee appointed three more members to join three already chosen in Jefferson county to arrange the election of delegates to the Constitutional Convention. Some dissatisfaction arose from fear they would nominate delegates, but they state they will not nominate and will only handle apportionment and arrangements. They intend to recommend that delegates be nominated by a Primary faction under County Committee rules, giving voters direct choice in representation. The action is endorsed as expanding voter latitude in nominations.
