Judge Cresswell of Venango County grants Harry Spence a new trial after absence during jury deliberations on insanity verdicts. Homer City Station Robbed In Safe Explosion
Thieves believed to be professionals dynamited the safe at the Homer City Pennsylvania Railroad station early yesterday. A small amount of cash was secured, with no clue left by the robbers. Nearby similar robberies include Shelocta’s Buffalo Rochester and Pittsburg station and the Clymer Pennsylvania New York Central cafes blown in recent weeks. Estate To Mission Board After Life. A dynamite blast at Waterman mining town near Homer City injured two foreigners employed in the mines. One man lost an eye and the other suffered severe facial burns. The Pennsylvania Supreme Court in Philadelphia on Monday affirmed a lower court ruling in Central District & Printing Telegraph Co. vs Homer City Borough. The decision supports the borough in controlling street rights for erecting telephone lines, ending a long legal dispute over telecommunication rights and city ordinance limits.
