No Policemen Needed Two Thefts In Iceland History

Iceland boasts no prisons and no police in a thousand years with only two thefts recorded. One native stole sheep to feed starving family but received medical care and support instead of harsh punishment. A German thief who took 17 sheep left the country after a harsh sentence to sell all property and repay value. Justice is handled by sheriffs courts and appeals to Reykjavik, Copenhagen finalizing cases. Panaris island shares similar traits with no prisons or lawyers and no paupers or criminals.
