Childish revenge on dominant parents through inquiry

A passage from Parents! Magazine advises letting a school age child solve problems to gain intellectual growth. If adults answered a child’s questions to display wisdom, the child may ask to embarrass elders. A boy’s curiosity about library history exposed a dominant mother’s ignorance, illustrating that guiding a child to find answers builds learning rather than outwitting others.
