Torrance Man Ends Life in Despondent Ill Health
Henry Moritz, 45, shot himself at his Torrance home amid ill health. He leaves his mother Bertha Moritz and four brothers and four sisters. Funeral was held at his residence and he was interred in Blairsville cemetery. M B James of Grant Street visited Pittsburgh on Friday.

Ernest Youth Dies in New Year Auto Crash
Bernard Morrison aged 19 son of Mrs Elizabeth Morrison Ernest Indiana Hospital early Thursday after New Year morning crash walking on highway near Ernest. He suffered a fractured skull and other injuries when struck by a truck driven by James Blaine 24 of Homer City who said weather prevented him from seeing Morrison. He is survived by his mother and siblings.

Defendants Sentenced In Larceny And Malicious Mischief
Judge J. N. Langham sentenced four defendants who pleaded guilty. James McNutt of Lockport was fined and given a six month to four year term in Allegheny county workhouse. Charles Brennan of Pittsburgh received three to six months. William Clark of Denver served 60 days in the county jail. Mrs. William Wambaugh received a suspended sentence for being with McNutt in a Pennsylvania Railroad refrigerator car burglary in West Wheatfield. Republican Women meet at Moore Hotel with Mrs. Mary Black Rhodes and Mrs. Edward Bennett as speakers.

A defective flue caused a Monday afternoon blaze at Livermore that destroyed the H. T. Fairley general store and badly damaged a three family dwelling owned by Mrs. W. B. Fairley and others. Firemen from Blairsville, Saltsburg, New Alexandria and Greensburg fought the flames, saved nearby Quinley Griffith properties, and extinguished the fire with river water. Loss estimated at twenty thousand dollars with partial insurance coverage.

Aging County Couple Die Within Three Days
Sudden deaths strike Mr and Mrs Billingslee of October township aged 73 and 77. Mr Billingslee died Saturday in Indiana hospital after a life of farming and community standing. Widow Mrs Sarah Billingslee, born 1857, passed away Tuesday at home after arranging her husband’s funeral. Funeral for the widow to be held Friday at 1 PM with Rev Samuel Shortown. burial at Greenwood cemetery beside her husband. Both were last members of their families. nephews and nieces survive.
