Tragic Death Of Miss Anna Iseman In Yatesboro Crash
Miss Anna Iseman aged 16, daughter of William Iseman, died after a side swipe at a Buffalo Rochester Pittsburgh crossing near Yatesboro. She was a stenographer for Ralph Harrison and died en route to Indiana hospital after a collision involving Dr Milo. Funeral services set for Friday at West Street Church with burial in Oakland Cemetery.

The Phillips Gas Co. drilled on the Clark Knox farm east of Marchand and struck oil Sunday morning. The crude is said to be flowing at about 15 barrels per hour. Driller A L Barnhart calls it a high grade oil, and this is Phillips’ first productive well in the area after several attempts.

Woman Victim of Bold Hold-up Near Glen Campbell
Miss Helen Mellett Patton, a schoolteacher and insurance collector, was robbed by two masked men along the Indiana Glen Campbell highway near a White filling station. The State Teachers College trustees approved a new three story Arts building to cost 200000, to be built east of the Main Building and completed in October. It will house Commercial on the first floor, Art on the second, Household Economics on the third, with brick and stone finish and Colonial architecture. The project includes maple floors and a central corridor running through all floors. At the same meeting Dr. C R Foster was authorized to begin plans for major Main Building improvements costing at least 40000.

Floyd Reed and Margaret Kinnan settled damages against Winslow after a fatal August 1928 crash near Marchand. Reed’s heirs received 9,760 and Kinnan 1,500 while Winslow paid costs.
