Indiana County Farm Bureau convened at the court house with farmers from all sections. Officers elected included P. L. Hamill president and W. R. O’Thomas secretary, amid discussions on loans, livestock prospects, and farm bureau plans for the year.
Miss Bertha Kimmel is confined to her room with scarlet fever but progressing nicely. Miss Virginia Calhoun, Kim mel teacher, observed Washington's birthday with a Friday afternoon program. A baby boy has arrived for Mr and Mrs James Calhoun. Murray Ankeny and the Kimmel household, with Mrs Mary Butcher, are spending the week at State College.

He highlights the glove factory water from Alpine springs the Bastilles fort and a panoramic trolley ride through the Alps with 18 tunnels and numerous bridges and describes the city’s beauty and engineering feats.
A local institute is scheduled for Saturday at the Tomb schoolhouse in Hast Wheatfield township. The program includes devotional exercises, addresses, topic discussions on home study and cooperation between teachers and parents, recitations, and music.
Harrisburg February 26 The Pennsylvania state senate voted 29 to 18 to ratify the prohibition amendment to the federal constitution. The house had passed it February 4. A separate note reports Porter King, a 65 year old Dixonville section hand, fired a revolver at himself but survived after the bullet passed through his body and he sought help at the shanty. James and Mrs. Elkin marked their 50th wedding anniversary with family at their Smicksburg residence. Eight children and many grandchildren attended an elaborate dinner. Mrs. Elkin’s sister-in-law, age 80, witnessed the couple’s 60th anniversary. Children listed include W. J. Elkin, David Elkin, Herman Elkin, Beatty Elkin, Elmer Elkin, Mrs. Harry Anderson, and Mrs. William Edmunds. Income tax official R. M. Allen will be at the court house to assist with tax reports. Farm sale: W. Williams of Greentown sold 200 acres to neighbor Value Cable. possession April 1. Squire John T. Kinnan was in Indiana on business.
Ralph Kunkle of Homer City, one of the county’s youngest overseas soldiers, lies in Newport News Military Hospital with an ankle injury sustained aboard ship while returning home. His father traveled to Virginia to visit him as reports note his brave service in heavy artillery and early enlistment near age sixteen.
Livermore resident Henry Fishel aged dead at the foot of the stairs in his sister-in-law’s home. Estate valued at about $50 000 with no heirs known. He lived alone and is believed to have fallen, an investigation followed his absence from meals at a local hotel.
Weddings of a Week reports marriages of Collin and Trees in Bradford and Stuchell Bloomquist in Jacksonville with attendees noted and future residence in Chicora.
