Green Bay Fur Trade Cottage Becomes Wisconsin Landmark
The Tank cottage at Green Bay claims to be Wisconsin’s oldest building and possibly the Northwest’s oldest. Built around 177d, it served as a historic hub for fur trade legal business and mar kin contracts. Now preserved as a museum, it hosts artifacts from Holland to the fur frontier and draws thousands yearly.

In Stringville on the Pole a new inmate arrived who frustrated staff and fellow patients with his extreme violence and odd remarks. He supposedly sought a way to redirect energy from dancing halls into useful use, leaving the ward in uproar and the inmates more unsettled than ever.
