A surprise birthday party for Genevieve Jeffries was hosted at Mr. and Mrs. Frank M. Jeffries home in Rochester Mills on February 5. The Teachers' Institute will be held in Blairsville Friday and Saturday February 21 and 22, 1918. Friday evening features an invocation by Rev. R. H. McClure and talks on The School of Tomorrow and related topics by L. Seeter and Derry township educators. Saturday includes devotional exercises, discussions on moral training, medical inspection value, and methods to vitalize teaching with speakers from Indiana, Westmoreland, and Greensburg schools. Musical direction by Ada Rowe. teachers are urged to bring 1942 Institute music books.
