Major fires devastate Robinson county town and surrounding areas
A large Lydie Bros store at Stafford and the Garfield Fire Clay plant in Robinson were destroyed by fire, with losses around 10 000 and 26 000 respectively. The only local industry, the brick plant, burned for the second time since 1897, while a residence on West School street and several smaller buildings also burned. Fire origin remains unknown and rebuilding plans are uncertain.
