No Necessity For Hotel Licenses In Indiana County

A 1923 court session refused retail hotel licenses and granted a wholesale license to Indian Brewing Company, subject to a U.S. government permit under the 18th Amendment and Volstead Act. The Brandon hotel and other hotel licenses were denied or withdrawn as no license is needed under prohibition. Judge Langham urged cooperation with enforcement laws and highlighted changing conditions reducing demand for hotel licenses.
