Mrs. Alice Baker aged 61 of Fairview died by self inflicted hanging on Saturday afternoon using a black silk scarf tied to a door knob. Found by her husband about 4 pm in a bedroom. coroner ruled no inquest. She had been in ill health and lived with husband Levy Baker and three children from her first marriage. Born near Bellefonts Center County. married Gus Buoy before his death.

Woman Dies After Fall Down Staircase at Nixon House
Mrs. William Brinkman, 62, of Indiana, found dead in the Nixon home on Sixth Street after a fall on the stairway. Her husband, daughter and sister survive. funeral held at the Brinkman home and remains sent to Johnstown. Dr. H B Buterbaugh certified death as occurring during the fall, with no signs of accident earlier. Alvin Stiles entered through a transom after failed door raps to discover the body. Funeral arrangements noted for Friday evening and Saturday transfer to Johnstown.
