Stingy Guest Recovers Christmas Gift From Old New York Landlord
In early 1800 New York Fraunces tavern hosted a poverty stricken stingy guest who paid six and a quarter cents for news and brandy. After years he finally returns the favor by gifting his former host with a note revealing a profitable investment and a cash settlement to ensure his former host’s life with a steady income.
