Sensational Blacklick case gridlocks North of Homer City

In a week of criminal court actions Judge White presided as Commonwealth v Charles Mikesell and Mande Wallace faced assault and battery charges. The grand jury found a not true bill against Mande Wallace. Wallace, Mikesell, and John Wallace were found guilty. Mikesell received the Huntingdon Reformatory sentence, John Wallace nine months, with Maude Wallace and Kate Buchanan in prior disorderly-house cases cited. The Thomas case for statutory rape and concealed weapons proceeds amid community interest. A series of divorces, fines, and jail sentences marked the docket as jurors deliberated and a broad appeal to jail plumbing and road repairs closed the term.
