Unnaturalized Foreigners and Firearm Ban Debates Rise in Courts
Judges in Allegheny County hear conflicting rulings on the May law prohibiting un naturalized foreigners from owning rifles and shotguns. Judge Telford Dellotineea rules for Cosick while Judge Evans upholds Patsone, arguing the 14th Amendment and treaties do not bar enforcement. A Pittsburgh immigration official endorses the law as treaty-consistent, predicting higher court reversal.
