Three Year Contract Forces Sale of Ned Barton

Ned Barton and Omanowsky, a trunk and bag maker, signed a three year contract giving Barton $1,000 a year plus commission. The plan included a future Beachwood Park cottage for Barton and Sheila Raymond, but sales slumped. Omanowsky tried shifting Barton to New Mexico mesas to force settlement. Barton resisted. After a long negotiation Barton pressed for $7,000 cash to end the deal, and the matter closed with a luncheon offer.
