France to Return Warships to Soviet Union
France's marine ministry plans to return twelve former czarist warships rusting in Bizerta harbor Tunisia. The fleet includes a battleship cruiser five destroyers and four submarines used to evacuate the Wrangel army from Crimea. France says Soviet sailors may take the vessels but must cover return costs to a Russian port.

Landing Plane on Lawn Costs Pilot $25 Fine
Tucson aviator Alfred A Hudgin of Nogales landed his airplane in the yard of a sorority house and arranged a date with a girl. Chief John Dwyer said the stunt was prearranged and cited a city ordinance against motor vehicles without mufflers. Hudgin was fined $25 and the plane was kept inside city limits until it could be hauled away.
