Smicksburg Borough approves 3 000 bond increase for paving
Smicksburg Borough Council adopts a resolution to increase indebtedness by 3000 dollars to fund the boroughs share of street paving. The plan issues six 500 dollar Series A street improvement bonds at 4 percent interest dated August 1 1928 maturing through 1932 with semiannual coupons. An election approved the increase on November 7 1922 and is certified. A sinking fund is created to pay interest and principal and taxes will be levied starting 1929 to support the debt.
