The Baby Kidnapers recounts a 1922 crime tale in which Larry the Blood and his ally Skinner abduct a sleeping infant from John’s Department Store, hide the child in a tenement, and plan to ransom it. A note left by the mother explains she cannot keep Olaf, eleven months old, as the father left, prompting the pair to abandon the baby outside the store.
