Arcadia Emerges As Prospective Coal Town With Growth Prospects

The site sits amid ten thousand acres of high quality coal and hosts three new operations powered by electric and compressed air plants. It will require about 1,000 workers initially, with more as capacity expands. Surrounded by water, timber, slate quarries, and fire clay, Arcadia is poised to become a manufacturing town. The name reflects contentment, and the area's Cush Creek Valley and Moshannon vein add to its appeal for residence and industry.
