The Buffalo Rochester and Pittsburg railway displays a strong patriotic spirit by placing flags at many locations along its system. Erection of 70-foot steel flag poles progresses at East Salamanca New York and DuBois Pennsylvania, with 15 by 20 foot flags. Sixty steel poles in twenty towns will hold 12 by 20 foot flags. At fourteen other points, wooden poles with sockets will display 5 by 9 foot flags.

About a thousand people witnessed the baptism of twenty four converts from the Marrington evangelistic campaign at Cookport. The ceremony occurred Sunday afternoon in a stream near the residence of Wm H Buterbaugh and was administered by Rev. M M Smith of the East Mahoning Church. The day was described as beautiful.

Double Funeral At North Point For Neitz Family
A double funeral was held at North Point on Sunday for Mrs. Frank Neitz, 67, and her granddaughter Luce Reitz, about two and a half, buried together. Mrs. Beltz died Thursday from complications of diseases and leaves a husband and several children. Meade Heltz, present at his mother’s death Friday, also mourns. Lucille Rafty, infant daughter, died after the grandmother’s funeral. Bodies were taken to United Brethren church, North Point, for services and interment in North Point Cemetery.

McGregor 52 a prominent Indiana county resident died by self inflicted shooting in Lancaster Pennsylvania while arranging for a rest and seeking relief from two years of nervous breakdown and insomnia. He was a former livery operator oil businessman and longtime Republican with deep county ties and leaves a wife Julia Smith two sons Paul and William Jr. plus a large family. Funeral services set for Thursday at 2:00 p.m. at his North Sixth street home.
