Reported Iron Ore Find in Fulton County Pennsylvania
A 1912 report from the United States Geological Survey casts doubt on a claimed billion tons of iron ore in Fulton County. Investigators found only several million tons of lower grade red ore and minor brown ore, with pockets worked near Hanover and Lowries Knob.
