Buffalo Rochester and Pittsburgh Railway seeks extension

The Buffalo Rochester and Pittsburgh Railway Company filed April 8 with the Interstate Commerce Commission a petition for a public convenience and necessity certificate to extend its Jacksonville Branch about two and a quarter miles in Indiana County Pennsylvania to serve coal territory. The extension, named Jacksonville Branch Extension, would run from Station 274-00 in Young Township to Station 878-00 at Pittsburgh Gas Coal Company land, improving rail service for traffic and coal delivery. The filing includes company officers and attorney details, and states no hearing is needed unless the Commission requires.
