The Adamant British ironclad battles the syndicate’s submarined crabs Repeller No 7 engages Crab J and Crab K with spring armor guns and towing battles. After fierce exchanges, the Adamant is battered, towed south, and a flag of truce boat appears amid shifting loyalties and strategic power plays.
The next morning a heavy fog hides the battle ship and Crab C as the Adamant’s crew infer the syndicate’s plan. A magnetic indicator aids the crab to attach to the ironclad’s stern post while Crab E departs. A truce boat arrives but the captain rejects further messages unless terms are met.
An 19th century advertisement extols Hasetter’s Stomach Bitters as a powerful nerve tonic and tranquillizer. It claims relief for nervousness headaches tremors and abnormal sensitivity by renewing vigorous digestion and strengthening the system. It also says dyspepsia briousness rheumatism constipation and kidney complaints are subdued.
John M. Allen of Charlotte New York tells friend Parsons he is near dead from the Gravel. Parsons urges a trial of Dr David Kennedy's Favorite Remedy of Rondout New York and after weeks Allen reports the remedy saved his life claiming it is the cure for Gravel and the only cure.
A Indiana woman told a friend Kemp's Balsam for the Throat and Lungs stops her cough instantly while other remedies fail. To prove its merit, any druggist will provide a Sample Bottle Free. Large size ninety cents or one dollar nine cents.
