Fatal accident at Indian Brewing Company injures Keller
Frederick Keller, a German native and employee of the Indian Brewing Company, was fatally crushed Saturday evening while attempting to replace a slipping belt. He died that night from injuries including a broken leg and collarbone, with internal damage. Burial took place at Bi Boma Loman Catholic cemetery Monday afternoon.

Fire destroys barn near Penn Run and farm losses
A barn at the Burkhart farm near Penn Run owned by George Lambing burned Sunday evening about 10 o clock. The structure and stored produce were a total loss with two horses three cows grain and other stock. The fire’s origin is uncertain but suspected to be a thief’s match. The barn carried 700 dollars insurance. Also announced is Verna Tomb and Charles Matthews plan to wed in June. Matthews works as a draughtsman for O. O. Matthews in Beaver. Two Wills Divided Estates In Local District
The will of John McMillen of South Mahoning township leaves his entire estate to his widow except coal under farms with the widow receiving the first $1000 from coal sales. Lightning Hits Clarksburg Stables Causing Fatal Loss
A storm struck Clarksburg causing a stable owned by S. B. Ashbaugh to burn with a horse owned by Ambrose O’Neal killed. Fire spread to Christopher Lehrecengost’s stable, destroying it, and many chickens perished. A clothes line and a flag pole were damaged in nearby homes. Glass shattered in Carson schoolhouse during hail.

Council levies taxes for coming year in adjourned meeting
At Monday night session the town council kept last year's borough tax of 10 mils and the sinking fund levy of three mils for another year. In town news, W. Webble and William McElhaney hunted on Dickie's hill Sunday and captured a five foot black snake later sent to Harrisburg. Mrs. John A. Shank of Vandergrift badly poisoned toes with corn salve. Real estate agent T. A. Gilbert sold the H. J. Petrie property on West Grant Street for $2000 to H. B. Engle and S. S. Galbreath.
