Oldest American monument Cubulho unearthed near Mexico City
Martha R. Allen reports in Current History that Professor Byron Cummings led excavations at Cubulho, a three tier pyramid near Mexico City, dating back as much as eight thousand years. The mound, buried under sand and lava layers, reveals a horseshoe shaped altar and a primitive dancing platform.
