Dixonville and Smicksburg residents share visits and greetings as relatives travel between Lilly Indiana and New Castle. New ministers arrive at Wesleyan church. families return from Indiana trips. Easter weekend sees gatherings and visits among neighbors in Dixonville and Smicksburg areas.
Mrs Sydney Kerr and daughter from Tiareahorpe visit her parents Ahe Bouche. Families from Wallace ton and Carmantown visit Indiana relatives. Various locals attend church, travel, and gatherings. new car purchases. measles recovery. several short trips to Plumville Georgeville Clymer Marion Center. A church program, missions offering, and a funeral are noted.
Mrs Q J Fleming visited her brother and sister in Momer City. Mrs Rosses Learn recovering from appendectomy. Miss Dorothy Myers spent weekend with sister Mrs Mazestine near Kent. Florence Cunningham and Bertha Brown, Indiana Normal and High School students, returned after Easter break. Miss Mary Learn and Helen Thomas visited Pittsburg. Rev J Fleming moved to Carrollton to start new field April 1. No mine work at Coal Run and McIntyre Monday due to holiday.
Albert Fisher spent the latter part of the week at North Point. Mr and Mrs Elsworth Manner and son Jay visited Everett Burns and family on Sunday. Easter service at Antioch drew many from the community Saturday night. Mrs A T Rodkey were callers at Indiana Tuesday. Elizabeth Sheesley visited her sister Ben of Taylorsville Friday. Mrs Mary Rice visited her mother Mrs McFall of Clymer this week. Skirk Sheesley and Miss Nola Burns spent Sunday with Miss Helen Muman. Dean Brown was an Indiana caller last week. Carla Burns, formerly at New Kensington, returned home. Mr and Mrs Ward Burns and a family visited H E Burns and family on Sunday. Mrs H Learn called on Mrs Rose Weaver on Friday. Mrs Wm Heberling and Mrs Charles Moorhead visited Mrs Harvey Bellz on Friday. Miss Gladys Wingard spent the weekend at home here. Mrs Rebecca Little hosted guests Sunday Mar and Mrs J S Clark of Josephine, Merl Little and two children Raymond and Mildred of Indiana, Jerry Little, wife and daughter Ruth of Plumville. An old fashioned serenade was tendered Mr and Mrs Carl Axberg one night last week. Mrs Axberg was formerly Miss Ida Fisher of this place. Mr and Mrs Cyrus Gaul and family called at the home of Clas Moorhead on Sunday. Franklin Wise is on the sick list. Miss Hilda Black spent the week. Miss Margaret Wise is employed at the home of Wm Good of Marion Center. Miss Bertha Wingard called on Mrs Carl Axberg Thursday.
