Jefferson County woman Vickie Gorrell pleaded guilty in Superior Court under a plea agreement. She will surrender all 134 animals, pay full restitution for medical care and boarding, and is barred from owning vertebrate animals during probation. Combined 545 day sentence with credits and probation terms.

Demolition Cleared For Heritage Trail Head Structure
Madison Historic District Board of Review approved the demolition of an unoccupied 9041/2 W Third St building near the Heritage Trail head. The 0.15 acre site, bought for 25000 with gifts from Grote Lamplighter Club and contributors, will be leveled to restore green space as the conservancy expands control over the trail head area.
