Suspect in credit union holdup linked to serial robberies
Anthony John Martinez 30 of Louisville is named by police as a suspect in the December 28 2019 Madison Business and Industrial Federal Credit Union robbery. Investigators say the man tied to multiple Kentucky and Indiana holdups since 2015 arrived at the Madison bank during opening, brandished a handgun, demanded cash, and fled on foot before being seen entering a car at a nursing home. The FBI led the joint probe, aided by social media data cell phone records and the getaway car. Martinez has ties to Scott County and Louisville and has prior Louisville and Clark County Indiana holdups. The Madison case remains under investigation with details limited by police.
